Kissing the Mother

kissing.the.mother.222.png

The soft layers under her feet
Sweet smells, earthy tones
Gnarly plants, sage greens ,fuchsia branches
Smooth stone surfaces scattered as if carefully placed.

She walks on the surface
With each step, a connection fulfilled
Down into the center of Her being
And back up into the swiftly moving human form.

Why are you barefoot, my child?
I dance upon the dirt and rocks
So that I may have the sacred chance
To be kissing the Mother
In every step I take.
